Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park
I Routinely hike around the Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park. This beautiful hiking trail extends out to 5,271-acre parkland is on the oak-covered ridge overlooking Pleasanton and the Livermore Valley from the west. It is very common to spot deers, bobcats, mountain lions, rattle snakes and many more! Not only is hiking a great exercise but the beautiful scenery around the park makes it very enjoyable and well worth it. Inside the park, elevations exceed 1,600 feet. Their are many different trails you can take to hike.It takes about 3.5 hours to reach the top where the view is breathtaking. Keep in mind it will take another 3 hours to descend! At the peak of the mountain (as you can see from pictures below) it is beautiful. I recommend taking binoculars.
