Minnesota to Chicago

After a great trip to Minneapolis. We left in the morning at 10 a.m. local time. Click here http://pathtracks.com/users/27788/paths/116915 view our original path. Please click the Hybrid on left corner of the map. Today is Day 8 , and our goal is to head towards Chicago. My impression on Minnesota is that it’s a beautiful state with a lot of trees. Since the entire state appeared green, I enjoyed the drive going to Chicago very much.

When planning this trip I made sure we would drive during the day to enjoy the scenic routes that the country has to offer. Wisconsin is also very green. The great thing about Wisconsin was the fact they are known for their "cheese". If you are into different kinds of cheese's then this place is definitely for you. For example at this one stop we made during the trip they had over 125 different types of cheese’s!

*Note Wisconsin is called the "Badger State"

Many fireworks were for sale as well, and I purchased some really rare fireworks on the way. Different states have different laws in regards to the sale and type of fireworks. Wisconsin had a variety of different types that are illegal in many other states.

When we arrived to the state of Illinois we noticed many toll roads. There were many toll stops on our way to our hotel. I was shocked to see Illinois as one of the "toll states" .

With our stops the trip took about 7 hours. The actual driving time is about 5 hours which was the shortest we have done thus far.

We arrived in Chicago and the weather was perfect! It was 75 degrees, and it was very refreshing!

Minnesota-Mall Of America

Proof that I went through the maze successfully! Highly Recommend!! Today is Day 7, and after we woke up noticed how beautiful the weather was outside! The temperature was around 76 degrees. Our plan was to visit the largest mall in the country called Mall Of America. This mall was enormous! Its so big that it has indoor theme park called Nickelodeon Universe. It has 24 different rides for all adults and children.

The Mall has 520 stores and 50 restaurants.
It is so big that they have bomb sniffing dogs apart of their security team.
What I loved about the mall besides its size was the fact they don't have
No Sales Tax on clothing and on shoes!

We also went to this great place called Amazing Mirror Maze, which is inside the Great Mall. It definitely is a must see!!

If you are into water rides and roller coasters in general this is the place to be

Target Field Home of the Minnesota Twins!

Today is Day 6, and I took the trolley to the baseball game, and I'm very glad I didn't get a cab. The trolley made you feel like you are part of Minneapolis. It’s a great way to travel inexpensively, and avoiding traffic. I noticed that Downtown Minneapolis is very clean and nice.

When I arrived at Target Field. I liked how clean it was. When I asked a fellow security personnel he stated that the field is brand new. They put the baseball field right in middle of downtown, which gives you a great view! The field has very expensive turf , it can hold up to two and half hours of rain without it affecting the field! This stadium is definitely up there as one of the best ones I have seen thus far. I also found out through a friend that Minnesota only has 2 months of summer!!!! It is the coldest state in the country!
I really enjoyed the game, and the beautiful view of downtown. I also attached a Video clip to give you a better understanding of the layout of the field.

Denver To Minnesota

Please click here http://pathtracks.com/users/27788/paths/116697 to view the specific route I took. (Click Hybrid on the left corner of the map). We spent three days in Denver and, it was well worth it. The terrain makes it worth while. Although it was pretty hot outside it didn't stop us from going anywhere.

Today is Day 5 of our journey. We left at 9 a.m. local time to head to Minnesota. The estimated drive time is about 14 hours. This was our longest ride of the entire trip. We will be passing the rest of Colorado, Nebraska and Iowa and, into Minnesota. Keep in mind Nebraska is very stretched out. It took us nearly 6.5 hours just to pass through it.

While driving through Nebraska we realized why they call it the "Corn Husker State.” We saw miles and miles of corn, and it was probably over 150 miles of corn! Besides corn there was nothing else out there. Although I did purchase some really good fireworks from the stand. The prices were very cheap! I had never seen such a great selection of fireworks before.

In Iowa besides corn; there was not much out there. Although it wasn't as dry as Nebraska, we mostly saw green throughout the entire way.

*Note- Iowa is called the "Hawkeye Ste"

We arrived in Minnesota at 12:30 a.m. local time. I wasn't tired at all because I knew I would be getting a White Castle at Minneapolis, which was very motivated for me! At last I had arrived to White Castle, and just my luck it was open. I was very satisfied and happy after devouring all that hamburgers!! YUMMY (THE BEST SLIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Denver Art Museum

Today is Day 4, we originally planned on visiting the U.S. Mint in Denver, however we arrived late and, couldn't get in. Parking was very difficult to find in downtown, even though we hit no traffic going to downtown, we still couldn't' find parking.

Denver Art Museum was very big. This was so large it had to have been one of the largest I've ever seen. The museum had two buildings. The first building was called the Hamilton Building which has 4 Levels:
Level 1: Herbert Bayer Collection
Level 2: Western American Art
Level 3: Modern & Contemporary Art
Level 4: African Art

The Second Building was called the North Building which is home to 7 levels:

Level 2: Design after 1900, American Indian & Northwest Coast Art

Level 4: Pre Columbian & Spanish Colonial Art

Level 5: Asian Art

Level 6: European & American Art, Textile Art

Level 7: Historic Western American Art, Photography
Some of the beautiful art was purchased from all over the world! This place is also a
Must SEE!

My favorite art and sculptures are the Pre-columbian and American Art, as well as Modern & Contemporary Art!

Denver Museum of Nature Science

Day 3 The Denver Museum of Nature & Science was absolutely great! The museum has three levels. First level is specifically for gems & minerals. Second level was wildlife. Third level was prehistoric dinosaurs. This trip has become an educating tool for me. This museum also has an Imax theater as well as a huge planetarium called Gates Planetarium. We watched a show called Journey to the Stars. This show is a must see, and I learned a lot about our solar system and other galaxies . It’s a MUST SEE SHOW!!!. MUST SEE SHOW!!!
