We spent three days in Denver and, it was well worth it. The terrain makes it worth while. Although it was pretty hot outside it didn't stop us from going anywhere.
Today is Day 5 of our journey. We left at 9 a.m. local time to head to Minnesota. The estimated drive time is about 14 hours. This was our longest ride of the entire trip. We will be passing the rest of Colorado, Nebraska and Iowa and, into Minnesota. Keep in mind Nebraska is very stretched out. It took us nearly 6.5 hours just to pass through it.
While driving through Nebraska we realized why they call it the "Corn Husker State.” We saw miles and miles of corn, and it was probably over 150 miles of corn! Besides corn there was nothing else out there. Although I did purchase some really good fireworks from the stand. The prices were very cheap! I had never seen such a great selection of fireworks before.
In Iowa besides corn; there was not much out there. Although it wasn't as dry as Nebraska, we mostly saw green throughout the entire way.
*Note- Iowa is called the "Hawkeye Ste"
We arrived in Minnesota at 12:30 a.m. local time. I wasn't tired at all because I knew I would be getting a White Castle at Minneapolis, which was very motivated for me! At last I had arrived to White Castle, and just my luck it was open. I was very satisfied and happy after devouring all that hamburgers!! YUMMY (THE BEST SLIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
